Before any course, screening covers seizure risk, metal implants, implanted devices, and other neurological considerations. Some histories rule TMS out, and the consultation won't dance around it. Scalp discomfort and headache are the common early side effects. The rare serious risk is seizure, which is exactly what the screening is for.
